Physics Weirdness

Published by

Remember Zeno’s Paradox? Sure you do. It states that nothing can move. Not that difficult, really. To get from point A to point B, you have to reach the halfway point, which is point C. And to get from point A to point C, you have to get to the halfway point, which is point D. And to get from point A to point D, you have to get to the halfway point, which is point E, ad infinitum, right?

Oh, and suppose you do get moving?

You’ll never arrive, for exactly the same reasons.

Did you know electrons don’t move? Nope. They fade in and out of existence. The orbital model of electrons going “around” the nucleus of an atom is wrong. Why? Because for an electron to move, it gives up radiation, which causes it to lose energy, which causes it to fall into the nucleus of an atom, destroying it. But that’s okay, because this collapse creates energy, which manifests as a new electron.

Welcome to Bohm’s Implicate Order.

Think that’s bad?

Oh, that’s easy stuff. Why?

Because at one point, as the universe was inflating during the Big Bang, it inflated faster than the speed of light. And, when you travel faster than the speed of light, time flows in reverse. So the universe began after it ended.

Or maybe we can think of it another way:

According to Quantum Mechanics, things don’t exist, until they’re observed, right?

As the universe expanded and inflated, and the fundamental forces came into being, and all that…none of that happened until we were able to observe their effects.

Kinda like the snake eating its own tail, one might say.

That’s okay. Because in space, nobody can hear you scream.

oh, and don’t even get me started about what happens if you spin a bucket of water in space…

oh, and…

Inside of a black hole, things are more or less normal. The laws of physics go back to what we’re used to. Its the black hole’s event horizon that makes things all screwy. Once you get past that (like you’d be able to survive it), things go back to normal. You’d never know you’re inside one.

So…

We could be inside one right now, and not even know it.
