Day 178 of Staying the Fuck Inside

We went for a drive yesterday. Still coping with how “native” I’ve gone when it comes to wine country. Harvest is happening, and we’ve pretty much missed this entire vintage. The office where I work when there isn’t a pandemic going on is surrounded by vineyards. Yesterday, it was bittersweet to see everything in full swing, and knowing that dormancy will be returning in the coming weeks/months. In 10 days, we’ll have been sheltering in place for half of 2020.

Coupled with the isolation is the heartbreak of seeing everything enveloped in smoke, yet again. This is now four years in a row, and sadly a regular thing. Life goes on, and life continues.

But wow, all of this is fucking dumb.
