Day 258 of Staying the Fuck Inside

Thanksgiving.

I wasn’t necessarily expecting to still be S’ing TF I at this point, but, well, here we are.

Last night, Amanda made two pumpkin pies, based on the recipe from the Kendall-Jackson cookbook. We may have had some for breakfast. It is incredible.

This year, for Thanksgiving, we decided to support a local restaurant, and order food from them. Franchettis’ Kitchen crossed our radar a while back (Spaghetti and Meatball Pizza?! Hell yes!) and we thought their Thanksgiving meal sounded delicious.

And, so far, it is.

We’ve availed ourselves of the appetizers for lunch – Sweet Potato & Fried Sage Arancini with garlic aioli, Burrata & Prosciutto with Persimmon Jam, toasted hazelnuts, and aged balsamic Focaccia. We may have also had a Pinotage Rosé from Tiny House Vineyard (which I highly recommend).

I am thankful for our health. I am thankful for family, and loved ones, and people I would love to see today, but won’t because of the pandemic.

I don’t know half of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

I am grateful for Sonoma County, and all that it has given us, and continued to give us; for all that it has taught us, and all that it continues to teach us.

I am grateful to our employers, and the wine industry for taking us in, and helping us find our passions.

I am grateful for School of Rock, and the people we have met through there. You are extended family, and we love you.
