COVID continues to mock humanity’s attempts to impose arbitrary boundaries on it. In two weeks, the Omicron variant has accounted for 12% of cases last week to 73% this week. Everyone says the winter looks like it’s going to be “grim,” though I doubt it will be as grim as last year. We’re all vaxxed and boosted, and hunkered down (again) waiting for the next wave to pass.
In other news, for the first time in almost two years, we’ve gotten colds.
It’s amazing, really, as I have no recollection of what a baseline for a cold is, anymore. Yesterday, I was rendered pretty useless. Today, I’m better, but not BETTER. We’ll see what tomorrow brings.
You forget that things like over the counter cold meds exist.
As we approach Solstice, it is perhaps fitting, that we prepare for the impending darkness to come.
But with darkness will come deeper understanding, and then light once more.
